The beauty and spirit of The Bahamas is disappearing ... our islands and water are no longer clean and pure ... people and animal species are dying out at a terrifying rate ... waste is piling up ... people everywhere suffer from crime, pollution, corruption and risks to their health. It needn't be like this. Since Independence, in 1973, various groups have attempted to lead the way in putting forward positive solutions to these and many other social and environmental problems. Yet, the situation has only worsened, despite millions of dollars being spent by successive governments.
