Is Patagonia, Chile where they got the inspiration for the Patagonia outdoor wear??? Are you a sailor?

I am not sure where the inspiration came for the outerwear, but I am sure it is a US company. I would guess they used the name due to this area being know for its hiking, climbing, and other related outdoor activities.

Yes I do some sailing, and have for many years.

Fly to Puerto Montt and then explore by bus (public transport service is excellent there) every little town until you reach Torres del Paine. Chilean Patagonia is beautiful, places like Coyaique, Paine, Punta Arenas, Petrohue, Puerto Varas, etc. If you want to go to the Glaciers, try Explora boats, they're the best.
